COVID-19

COVID-19

As a healthcare facility we are acutely aware of the challenges posed by Coronavirus (COVID) and the need to follow government advice to minimise risk to our patients, visitors and staff alike.

Although general measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 are being reduced, levels of infection remain high and there are no immediate changes to preventative measures within GP Surgeries. The requirement for all visitors to a mask/face covering and respect social distancing remain in place. Measures such as screens and hand cleaning also remain unchanged.

Attendance

If you are an organisation and/or employer you will have already completed risk assessments and developed protocols – please can these be shared with us prior to your booking.

You should inform attendees that if any person becomes unwell or displays symptoms of the virus, or resides with or is known to have been in contact with anyone who is suspected of having COVID-19, they should adhere to the following guidance:

1. Attendees who develop symptoms of COVID-19 should not use the building without first obtaining a clear PCR test.
2. Attendees who test positive for COVID-19 should not use the building until they have had two negative LFD test results taken 24 hours apart. The first test should not be taken before day 5 after their initial positive test. These tests need to be 24 hours apart, and providing they are medically fit, they can return to work on the morning of day 6 providing they tested negative 24 hours earlier.
3. All attendees who are household contacts of a positive COVID-19 case can attended provided they remain asymptomatic and complete twice weekly LFD testing (ie at least every 4 days).

We recommend that you consider event insurance to cover loss of fees if you need to cancel you booking at late notice.

Social Distancing and Shared Areas

While the meeting rooms occupy a separate isolated area of the Medical Centre, with dedicated lift, toilet and kitchen facilities that are accessed through a separate entrance, there is a risk from interaction between users of the building. Therefore;

• Social distancing between delegates and other users of the Centre should always be followed, including within the meeting rooms.
• Face coverings should be worn in the Centre when outside the meeting rooms. The requirement to wear face coverings in meeting rooms will be dependent on the hirers own risk assessment.

Cleaning

The Medical Centre is cleaned daily and between each hiring. This includes appropriate disinfection of surfaces to limit spread of COVID-19.

Ventilation

It is advised that you vent the rooms by leaving windows etc open when possible.
